Our Space
BreakOUT! has a youth space where we hold weekly meetings and events in the Art Egg Studios at 1001 S. Broad St. The space is typically open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons when youth can come by to pick up resources or use the computer.
Directions:
We are under the Broad St. bridge by Comeaux Furniture and Times Picayune. When you get to the front door, dial BreakOUT! on the call box to get buzzed in. For a more accessible entrance, go around to the loading dock at the back. (Sometimes it's a good idea to call first just to make sure someone is there! 504.473.2651)
By Bus:
If you are coming via the 94 Broad St. or 34 39 Tulane Ave. bus, there is a bus stop on top of the Broad St. bridge with stairs that lead down to Art Egg Studios.
If you're coming via the 28 MLK to Earhart Blvd. bus, get off at Broad St. and cross the tracks under the bridge to Art Egg Studios.
By Car:
If you're coming over the Broad St. bridge from downtown, EXIT the Broad St. bridge after the bus stop to go down to Earhart Blvd. Take your first RIGHT onto S. Dupre and then your next RIGHT again onto Euphrosine St. Park under the Broad St. bridge.
If you're coming down Earthart Blvd. from the river, turn RIGHT onto S. Dupre and take your next RIGHT again onto Euphrosine St. Park under the Broad St. bridge.
